This abstract painting began with memory as a starting point. I remember driving down the motorway
and seeing the bright lights of satellite towns we passed. From cats’ eyes on the road as well as the
street lamps and car lights in the distance, a magical but modern scene was created.
This memory goes back a long way and is layered by each new long journey at night that I take.
The painting is composed of two sheets of paper, with holes, tears and punches on the top sheet
so that the yellow underneath shows through.
