This series explores connections between disparate worlds. The War Paint pieces highlight visual contrasts between lipsticks, skyscrapers and jets. The work shows affinities between fashion and industrial design. Inspired by my father’s map collection, the distinctive palette and conventions of A to Z and Ordnance Survey metamorphose into footwear.

Fusing designs for the body with schematic representation of landscape creates the effect of a Gestalt Switch where one can morph into the other.
